Dear Betty:

You may want to write to the cemetery (snail mail) and ask if they have a fee for a look-up.

When I was there the office was open and they had a computer data base of many of the grave locations.

One part, at the bottom of Bare/Bear Hill, has about 35 or more stones laying flat on the ground. The intered and their stones were moved to Evergreen around 1927 when the church cemetery land was sold. My wife's g-g-grandfather and her g-g-g-grandfather and g-g-g-grandmother are three of the stones transfered. The stones are not in very good condition. Some are overgrown with grass and others are cracked.

At the time (about 4 years ago) they had not entered these graves in the database. You may want to call the Adams County Historical Society and ask if they can look up the cemetery office hours of operation. Try emailing first if no luck try a phone call.

I don't think Evergreen will give you a listing of all of the intered but if you have some names I am sure they will look them up for you, they did for me.

Best of luck,
Jack Novicki
