I am searching for a death record, possibly an estate or will for William Iredell Harrison. He was born ca 1832 in Tennessee. In 1858 he moved with his brother to Conway County, AR, and then moved in the early 1880's to Ellis County, TX where he was residing in the 1900 census. According to his widow's Confederate pension application, filed in 1913 in Ellis County, TX, William died in April of 1903 in Comanche County, Oklahoma. So he was in Oklahoma only a short time before his death. I have also seen undocumented accounts on some Harrison family trees that give give a death date for William of 1904 in Waurika, Jefferson County, Oklahoma. I understand that Jefferson County, OK was created in 1907 from a portion of Comanche County. I would like to know whether Jefferson County has any death or court records, when it was still part of Comanche county.
Any help/suggestions on where to search will be appreciated.
