My family lineage has a George Washington Botkin who was born May 1862 and died April 10, 1888. He was the 5th child of Benaiah Botkin (b 7/1/1834, d 10/25/1913) and Lucinda Lippincott Botkin (B 8/9/1836, D 1/4/1870). I have two possibilities about their marriage - 1) 8/30/1854 in Shelby, Ohio, or 2) 8/31/1854 in Logan, Ohio). I do not have any information about George Washington Botkin's marriage. I am a descendant of his brother Romance Erwin. I do not see any mention of a John Raymond Botkin in my family (is this a son of George Washington Botkin?). George Washington Botkin had two brothers who were married in Clark (county?) Ohio - James Madison Botkin married Laura Belle Warwick on 8/7/1879 in Clark, Ohio. William Lafayette Botkin married Maggie Bockway 4/13/1882 in Clark, Ohio. Romance Erwin's family ended up in Colorado.
