Hi, Sharon,

I don't have any information on Joseph Corns' parents, but I did find his death record online at the University of Cincinnati Blegen Library digital collection. Here's the website if you want to search for any other possible records. I'm also attaching a copy for you.

Hope this works for you. For some reason it wouldn't let me copy it as a link.

Anyway, his death record states Joseph Corns was male, white, married, 75 years old, died November 13, 1879, residence 290 Poplar Street, born in the US, occupation farmer, death due to heart disease, Dr. D. Bramble, Epply was the funeral home/undertaker, and finally he is buried in Wesleyan Cemetery.

According to a book I have entitled "A Guide to Genealogical Resources in Cincinnati & Hamilton County, Ohio 6th Edition," Wesleyan Cemetery was established in 1842, is predominantly Methodist Episcopal, and is located at 4003 Colerain Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45223, phone (513) 541-2635. On the disappointing side, I have read several articles over the last several years about Wesleyan Cemetery being in a very sad state of neglect.

The death certificates for Samuel and William Corns are available on www.familysearch.org. It appears that Samuel is also buried in Wesleyan. William died and is buried in Dayton, Ohio.

Hope this helps with your search.

Mary
