I. Ardythe Jaynes, 79, Columbus, Ohio, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 1998, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.
Idress Ardythe Wilson was born Feb. 24, 1919, the daughter of George Earl and Lorretta Mae (Culver) Wilson, in North Platte, Neb., where she attended school. She attended the Southhampton School of Nursing, Long Island, N.Y. She married Roy Jaynes on June 23, 1940 at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. They lived in San Antonio, Texas, Enid, Okla., Des Moines, Iowa, Washington, D.C., Manilla, Phillipines, Alexandria, Va., and Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. They lived in Columbus and spent summers in Angle Inlet, Minn. She worked as an usher at the Ohio Theater.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Linda Roy (Joseph) Conlin, Fredericksburg, Va., and Jenee Mel Erchal, Sarasota Springs, N.Y.; four grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; brothers, Francis Tat, North Platte, and Stanley Earl, Thorton, Colo.; and sisters, Phylis Arther, Crawfordville, Ind., and Delores George, Grand Island, Neb.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Quigley, and Robert; and sisters, Georgiana Calhoun and Paline Wilson.
Services: 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, in Arlington National Cemetery, Va. (Norman, Columbia Road, Grand Forks).
