Surnames: TOMS, SPROUT, EASTMAN, ROWLEY, TROUSDALE, GREEN
I really don't know what question I want to ask except that I am looking for information on the following person and the surnames of TOMS or Andrus in the town of Oxford or surrounding area, in 1843.
In 1843 , my ancestor, Sarah (Andrus Andrews) TOMS - a widow aged 75 from New York State, filed a petition for the continuance of her husbands, John TOMS, Revolutionary War Pension, from the town of Oxford, Erie Co., OH. On the Pension Record is also written - "Cooks Corners", which may have been a settlement outside of Oxford proper.
I believe Sarah Toms came to Erie county with either TOMS or ANDRUS relatives.
Is there a written history of this area, in this time line?
I guess I just need some advice or direction on how best to use what little bit of info I have to go on, to find Sarah TOMS, her death and/or burial site.

Thanks, Judy Mills Boie
