Is St. Polycarpe in Defiance co. or in Quebec?
I find it interesting that so many French Canadians came to Defiance in mid1800's, then to Saginaw, MI. I was told they followed the timber industry to Defiance, and apparently when that thinned out they went north to the Saginaw area. My Periard/Barbeau relatives did the same.
