Phoebe Sinclair appears on the 1830 cencus for Warren Township of Belmont County, Ohio. Series M19, Roll 127. The next name above hers is Thomas Hunnicutt (my ggggrandfather). I believe his wife was Mary Sinclair, Phoebe's sister. Their parents were George Sinclair and Elizabeth Best.
George Sinclair's parents were James Sinclair and Mary Patterson. James was known as 'Quaker James'. He was born 1736 in Chester, Pennsylvania.
Quaker records of the Caln Monthly Meeting approved a certificate of transfer to Fairfax Monthly Meeting for James 'Sinkler' and wife Mary and child Phebe. The family moved to Loudon Co., Virginia near Harper's Ferry in 1764.
The Sinclair family later moved to Belmont County, Ohio where they joined the Concord Monthly Meeting by 1802. Thomas Hunnicutt was also certified by the Blackwater Monthly Meeting of Prince George County Virginia to transfer to Concord Monthly Meeting of Ohio in 1806.
More detail can be had at RootsWeb.com, submited by Brian Hyson.
I believe Phoebe Sinclair married Jesse Jackson and moved to Clinton County, Ohio.
I hope this is helpful. I'm still trying to trace Quaker James back from Pennsylvania to Scotland. It appears that his father was William 'Sinkler' (b. ABT 1680) and mother Phoebe Gleave (b. ABT 1682).
Please let me know what success you have, as we're in this together!
