Hello.The old sanatorium buildings are still there,in use for somethig else now,at the east end of Springfield ,on Rt. 40 just a wys past the city limits.My father was there as a boy in the 1920's but had asthma,not TB and was released later.
When last I was in Springfield(Sep '02) the grounds and buildings were spruced up quite a bit from when I'd seen it last in the 80's.
Count records should be at th courthouse,but the historical society at the new Heritage Center(near main library) might be of help also.
