wife Catherine "Kate" Kirby (b 1832 Ireland; probably died 1870-1880 Springfield or Harmony, Clark County, Ohio).

Kids:

(1) Matthew Carlos, b 1851.
(2) James Carlos, b 1856.
(3) Patrick Carlos, b 1859.
(This Patrick *IS* John Carlos, or John Patrick Carlos, or J.P. Carlos, or any combination thereof, who married Sylvia Bell Brown, the couple finally settling in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska.)
(4) Mary A. Carlos, b 1864; possibly died 1899 and buried in Saint Raphael's Cemetery, Springfield, Clark, Ohio).
(5) Morris Carlos, b 1869 (In 1880 census, about age 10, a boy seeming to be him shows up as an orphan in Xenia, Greene County, Ohio, but I have to ask why did he not get sent to live with one of his siblings. How many Morris Carlos' can there be?)

The above five kids were born Springfield, Clark, Ohio, to my knowledge.
