As a side note, Emma Alice Sheets married James Julian Mansfield, in Defiance County, Ohio in 1884. Emma's Parents are Sussansh Susan)Easterday and David Sheets. And yes, these Mansfields spent time in Athens county. Emma was born in 1866, somewhere in Ohio. By 1900 they were living in Wood County, Ohio. I don't know if these Sheets are connected to the ones you are researching.
