I have ascertained that possibly Edward Phelps & Frances Smith were Happy's parents, and William (or Jacob) Smith was her maternal g'father. The date of the posting of their marriage bond in 1793 and Happy's birth in 1794 are consistent. I knew of Isham & Happy selling land in Scuppernong. He may have died at Lees Mills about 1845. She may have died at Mackeys Ferry. Thank you for the excellent help. I now have more names to research. These people have proved very elusive.
