LInda, I may have answered this in the past if so please forgive me. I have a William J Ham listed on the 1790 Edgfield county SC Census. This William J Ham is my GGG Grandfather. I know he was born in 1747 because he memtions this a letter I have. Family lore has it that he was Scots-Irish and was born in Ireland. I have engaged Debrett Ancestry in the UK to find out more on him. thanks to other researchers I have quite a bit of information on this Ham Clan
