I'm working on the Chappell family, but I have a dab of info. for you.

Joab Chappell b. 3 July 1781 in Perquimans County
died 11 April 1833 on banks of Misissippi River
married Elizabeth Elliott on 8 April 1802. Their son, Stephen White Chappell was born in the stockade at Ft. Algiers Indiana while his father was fighting the Battle of Tippecanoe with William Henry Harrison. Stephen was the first white child born in White Oak Springs, Indiana. Anyway, Elizabeth Elliott is the daughter of William Elliott.

My brother is named Ralph Elliott Chappell
my father was William Elliott Chappell
my great-grandfather was William Elliott Chappell-this man was a Yankee Captain in the War Between the States

My father had a cousin who lived in Nebraska, a dentist named William Elliott Chappell.
