My ggg grandparents were John Allen & Amy Jenkins. I must say when I came across this, I nearly cried.... I have been at a brick wall for well over 15 years. I recently discovered Amy was a daughter of Benjamin Jenkins & his 1st nukn wife. His 2nd wife was Levenia (Levina) Futrell. I have learned quite a bit since then on Amy's family, but could not get John figured out. I had however been narrowing it down to a John & a Jeremiah.. John seemed more likely.

Buxton was coming up a lot, as well as Wright, so I figured I was close.... then I found this thread. John (sr) & Jeremiah may have been brothers, since my John named 2 of his sons after them.

I will see what more I can find on John & Tabitha & the children. Thank you all for sharing & if I'll be happy to share any I can.

I descend from John & Amy's daughter, Rachel & her husband, Jesse B. Johnson.
