Surnames: Baugham, Baughm, Baum, Baughan, Baughn, Bolm
Old thread, so I don't if anyone still checks it.

My line starting with my paternal grandmother back.

Lucy Elizabeth "Sallie Bet" Baugham & John William "Johnny" Johnson
James Arthur Baugham & 1st wife, Parthenia Emily Gray
James NATHAN "Jim" Baugham & Martha Emeline "Pattie" Gardner
John Baugham & Levenia "Vinnie" Futrell

That's as far as I've gone so far, but will continue my research.

P.S. The Aulander, NC Baugham's were also connected to the Baugham's of Southampton County, Va.

UPDATE: Immigrant ancestor: Abraham Baum. From Germany to Currituck Prescient, North Carolina, between 1700-1710. Will written 1729 & proved 1730, Currituck County.

Wife: Appolonia
Children: Adam, Elizabeth, John, Mary, Maurice, Peter, Sarah.

John & Adam, 2 of John's sons migrated to Northampton County, NC, where some became Quakers in the Rich Square/Woodland area. It is from the NorH lines, that migrated into Bertie, Hertford, NC & Southampton County, Va.

The later name Morris, became preferred over Maurice for new family members.

Other spellings for Baum:
Baughm, Baugham, Baughn, Baughan, Baugh, Baughman & possibly Baucom, Balm, Bone, Barmer, Balmer, Barham, Bolm, etc.

Be interesting if the V spellings are associated.
