Matthew, at this time no one I know of, knows for sure who Jacob's parents are. Some folks incorrectly link him to Valentine Oyler, but there is no linkage. However there are lots of Jacob Oylers, but the one I am talking about is the one that married Elizabeth Fifer. What is your connection to this couple? My maternal Grandmother was an Oyler, from this line.
