I am also researching the Harrell family. My Harrell's are from Dallas County, Alabama. However, I am trying to trace where they came from before coming to Alabama. The largest slave master in Dallas County was a W.F. Harrell. He moved to Alabama from North Carolina, but I do not know which county. If you have any info on W.F. Harrell, I would appreciate it. We believe that our Harrell's came from North Carolina also. Thanks.
