Samuel was a son of Abner Baldwin (1781) and Bethenia Lynn (1784). Abner was the only son of Samuel Baldwin (the elder) and Sarah; Abner had 9 sisters, several of whom married into my family. Abner and Bethenia had 5 kids (William, Samuel, Joseph, Atlas, and Sarah). Anyway, Samuel Baldwin (son of Abner) had 3 wives; Miss Atwater, Nancy Stone, and Matilda Winningham. Nancy Stone was the mother of 2 sons and 2 daughters, including "Bettie" (Bethenia Erminia Elizabeth). Matilda was the mother of Luther, born Sep 1853.
