I fully agree with Kathy in stating use the transcriptions as a guideline for finding the original records. Transcriptions can have errors and Original records should always be used in documenting your family accurately.

I will say all the original marriage bonds I have from the NC Archives have been accurate to the transcriptions so far even with the misspellings on the originals. The NC did a beautiful job in their marriage bond transcriptions but I would still order the original. You may find additional info on them. You may also get lucky and have a bond with parents listed. I got lucky and have one that lists parents but its rare to find one in the 1700-1800's
