I am trying to find the birthplace in NC of one of my Gibbs ancestors. On his gravestone is Captain Cannon Gibbs born in July of 1805 in NC.
He is buried here in SC in Florence County.
I was told to search the coastal area, but have had no luck there.
Now, I am searching other parts of NC.
ANY help is appreciated.
