Yes, I also have all the information you indicate here - but let me try explain what I believe may be incorrect about this info and what I know as fact and then what I need to prove.
I know for a fact that my gr gr gr grandfather -
Aaron GREEN -b:1800 NC -m- Phebe (Ledford) McKINNEY (the widow of William McKinney)-on 18-Sept-1831 in Burke Co., NC. This Aaron and Phebe Green then moved to Jennings Co., IN abt 1834 and are found on the 1840 and 1850 IN census records there.
I also believe that this same Aaron Green IS the son of John and Martha (Jones) GREEN - as records found in Jennings County, IN show that there is also a brother of this Aaron, a James and Catherine (Blankenship) GREEN, living close by Aaron and Phebe. This brother connection has been proven by several other Jennings Co. GREEN researchers. So, I don't have any problem with that part of this Green history.
It is the fact that I know that my Aaron Green , who married Phebe McKinney, was married first to someone else and had 6 or 7 children by this 1st wife, before he married Phebe.
My gr gr grandmother, Elizabeth Green -b: 1823 NC, was one of those first 6 or 7 children of Aaron - whose names include the following:
1) Isabelle Green -b:1821 NC
2) Lucinda Green -b:1822 NC
3) My Elizabeth -b: 1823 NC
4) Martha (Patsey) Green -b:1824 NC
5) James Green -b:1826 NC
6) Mary Ann Green -b:1828 NC
These children all came to Jennings Co with Aaron and Phebe
in 1834 as did the following McKinney children:
1) Mary R. (Polly) McKinney
2) Sarah C. McKinney
3) Samuel McKinney
4) Margaret McKinney -b: 1829
A 1834 Jennings Co. Guardianship record gives Aaron Green guardianship over the above McKinney children and states that their father, Wm. McKinney, is deceased.

Now, what I am trying to find proof of is just who my Aaron Green's first wife actually was??? The info saying she was the Annie Buchanan -b: 7-Mar-1801/02, dau of William and Eliz (Jones) Buchanan may be correct, but then I doubt the info claiming this same Annie Buchanan married later to Samuel McKinney, is correct ! I guess the only way for the above info to be possible, would be if Aaron Green and this Annie Buchanan divorced in 1830/31.
A 1830 Burke Co., NC census record has a:
Samuel McKinney, a William Buchanan, and an Aron Green
all living right next to each other - all with spouses living at this time and it is indicated that this Aaron has 7 children living in 1830. I am thinking this Aaron Green is my Aaron and that this first wife died in 1830 or 1831, before Aaron married Phebe McKinney.

Other info from my own personal family research, does indicate that there was difinatly a Buchanan connection to my Green family but it may not be the Annie Buchanan some say it is. I just need "any" proven marriage record -
c1820 or so, for my Aaron Green and a 1st wife.
I don't care who she is!! LOL
I know how easy it is to get family info mixed up - when everyone for multiple generations within a family, is named the same. And, even incorrect info can be useful at times.
We all just need to question each other when we find an irregularity in research.
