I am sure that some how Sarah must be related to the Hymans in my family.
Most of my Hymans were in South Carolina as early as 1819.
I am interested mostly in John Eaton Hyman, born ca1790 in Martin County, NC.He is related to the Hymans from Bertie County, NC, and Hugh Hyman from Bucklesbury, NC.
Although some Hymans migrated to Marion County, SC in the early 1800s, some remained in NC.
My interest in John Eaton Hyman is that he was married to Welthy O'Cain, said to be the daughter of William O'Cain from Martin County, NC.
After John Eaton died, Welthy married Captain Cannon Gibbs.
If you need any information on the Hymans after they arrived in SC I can help you.
There is a town in SC, named for this family. It was first called Hymanville, now it is Hyman.
Thanks for the information.
