Through something I was looking up I have become to believe Jonathan's Dad's name is John Cook (Pittsboro Township Chatham). In the 1830 Census, John had a son 16 living in the household. Since Jonathan was 36 in 1850 census, it works, but don't have solid info on whether is correct. The Cook's are few past 1830 to 1790 census. Also, from the county descriptions of NC there was not much developed in NC.
