Sorry about that, I'm looking at early 1800s. Child John Henry Smith was possibly born in USA in c1830s travelling to Wallis Island c1860s.

New York doesn't seem to have bdms for that era so very hard to find...so I can only hope someone else is researching the same family of Seth Smith/Schmidt.
