Realized I should have put family members too in my original post, but was more looking for how to go about getting police records.
Merrill C. was my grandfather. My mother and her siblings, and her cousins were all told when growing up that Elizabeth, just disappeared one day never to be heard from again. Her family also said the same thing(I have been in touch with her side of the family too.) Unfortunately, the children of Elmer and Elizabeth are all dead now, so it's unlikely anyone would know anything, unless there is a journal somewhere.
I did find in the 1920 census where she is listed as a boarder, that there is an Ernest Huddleston listed on the line below her, also as a boarder. I think they are around the same age, and it's funny because he was from Canada also, can't help but wonder if it is coincidental?!!!
