Seeking information about the connection between my great-grandmother Maria Rabung and Peter Rabung of Glen Ullin.

Maria Rabung married Henry John Bauer and lived with him in Rockland County, NY. Her gravestone at Brick Church Cemetery gives her birthday as 27 March 1846 -- she died on 27 June 1887. A family Bible says she was born in Bliesdalheim, Germany. Their eldest daughter, Maria, was born in Ohio in 1866 but their other five children were born in New York.

Part of a letter written by Peter Rabung from Glen Ullin in 1901 to either Henry John Bauer or one of the children. The letter says:

"... and the other Brother Nichouls i did not see him anymore in 24 years and did not hear anything from him in that time.

I will let you know now that I am married and have 5 children living. The oldest girl is married and has 2 children. She will be 24 years old the 31st of July. Then, the oldest boy is 17 and he is going to college. He is studying bookkeeping. Then, I have 2 more boys - one is 10 years and the other one is 4 that is the baby - and one girl is 8 years old. I am married 25 years on the 15th of July and then...

....sisters Barby and Maggie are living in Ohio too, then there is another sister . The oldest one, Kate, is in Dakota, about 5 miles from me. I searched the census records online, but can't figure out how Maria Rabung fits into the larger Rabung family or any more details about her. Do you have any information that can shed some light on this?
