Hi, I'm new to researching in Richmond, and don't know my geography on Staten Island. Where is 243 Fisher Ave? I am looking for the Thomas Omar Carson family in the 1930 census, and cannot find them. In 1942, Thomas was listed as an employee of SIRT and the address says TOTT. SI. His employer's address was St. George, SI. In 1920 he lived on Staten Island and was employeed by a railroad, so I think he must have been there in 1930, too. All assistance in understanding where this area is, and what work people did is welcome. Thomas Omar's (Sr.) father was a ship builder and captain, and other brothers may have worked for the Ferry. I have heard he may have died around 1945; if there is a register of deaths for Richmond, please let me know as well.
