My Samuel Wells was the son of Caleb Wells (b. February 24, 1772, East Greenwich, Kent County, RI, d. Nov. 25, 1836, Amboy NY) and Susannah Phillips (b. February 10, 1774, East Greenwich, Kent County, RI, d. February 23, 1821, Sidney, Delaware County, NY). Samuel has a sister named Olive, b. July 1, 1795, and according to my records, married Samuel Whiting. The siblings of Samuel & Olive (children of Caleb and Susannah) are as follows,
Sally Ann Wells, b. March 13, 1791; Samuel Wells, b. February 10, 1793, Petersburg, Rensselaer County, NY; Olive Wells b. July 1, 1795; Coon Wells (AKA Caleb Carr Wells) b. February 2, 1801; Benjamin Wells, b. September 17, 1803, Martha Wells, b. July 4, 1805, Priscilla Wells, b. May 22, 1808, Thomas Phillips Wells b. September 28, 1810, Matilda Wells b. May 7, 1813.
All the town names you list are consistent with towns in my Wells genealogy, and seem to originate in Rhode Island (they were Seventh Day Baptists), then to upstate New York, then to Wisconsin or Minnesota. But if my records are correct, your Olive's birthdate and husband's name are not consistent. I do know that my Samuel's children were raised by an older sibling in Wisconsin - seems to have been a poor family that didn't stay together - but I cannot tie into your information any better than that. Let me know if I can help - I am still looking for Samuel's wife, Laura Ann Starnes, Starns, or Stearns.
