Ed. NY is one of the worst states to research adoptions! May I suggest a book:Lifeline-The Action Guide to Adoption Search, it really helped me. Born & adopted in Miami, Fla. It took a court order to get it! Too late, my mother was deceased, don't take too long in your search. Good Luck!
