Thank you for all your research. I have found lots of information on fultonhistory.com. It has been wonderful. The census of 1860 for John and Elizabeth Wogan I have looked at several times. Elizabeth senior and Michael Wogan should have reported in the 1850 census one child but none was reported. Michael Wogan, my Elizabeth's father was listed as 40 in 1850. So I am certain that John is another person.

Oral history states that my Elizabeth was raised an orphan and certainly as reported in the various census the reporter is unsure of her ancestry. Scotish both parents/ Irish Both parents / Mix of Irish and Scotish. Her death registration lists a Martha Ford (I do not know if Ford is a maiden name or a married name) - Scotish - as her mother.

So I can only conclude that she may be in an Orphanage or with adoptive parents in 1860 and under another name.

So my original question remains. Is there records of the Onondage County Orphanage Asylum and where might I find them.

Thanks again for your input.
