Thank you for responding and especially for that article. That was the one I had seen months ago & couldn't find it again. I did find the article on 16 March 1899 for John's 100th birthday which includes his photo.

John TUBBERT's niece, Maggie Doyle, with whom he was living at time of death is my great grandmother, Alice Doyle LaGrange's sister. I'm trying to figure out if John is connected through the DOYLE's or the HANLEY's.

In the 1900 census, living at 415 Wolf is Thomas MORGAN and his second wife, Mary Doyle, sister of Alice & Maggie.

I'm going to start working on a biographical timeline on these families to see if I can find some clues & will post it here.
