I just read where people coming through Castle Garden could be sent to Verplanck State Hospital on Ward's Island if they were sick or destitute. Does anyone know if there are records from this hospital still available? I also read that there was a cemetery in which emigrants who died were buried. Does anyone know if records still exist and how they might be obtained? Thanks for any help you can give me.
