They may have travelled on The Pearl; however, it was not the voyage that arrived in New York in October, 1773, as there are two lists of the passengers: one by Clan Cameron and the other by Dr. Kim A. Taylor for the New England Historic Genealogical Society. Many immigrants ended up in the Mohawk Valley and joined the King's Royal Regiment in the American Revolutionary War and were expelled to Upper Canada in 1784-6. But your ancestors went to Oswego, which means that they may have supported the New England Colonists rather than the King. But there was a John Parlow who belonged to the 1st Regiment Dundas Militia as of December 28, 1828, so he could be a descendant who crossed the border to live in what is now Canada. Best of luck in your search. Graham Evan MacDonell, Principal Researcher, Scottish- Canadian Genealogical Research Services, Abbotsford, B.C.
