Hi, Sharon. Your post is from 12 years ago! I am trying to confirm whether my GGGG grandmother was born as Pattey Corey or as Pattey Grote and that she married a Corey. I have a photo of her. On the back it says, "Grandmother Corey" and "Pattey de Grote Corey Abbott." I know she had a daughter, Marie Grote, who was born in 1803 in Montgomery County. Pattey was born in 1782 in Rhode Island. So I'm assuming she may be Pattey Corey, and moved from Rhode Island to Montgomery County, perhaps married Grote there, had Marie, and then moved to Otisco, NY, married Charles Abbott, and had several more children there.

Have you found any more information about the Corey's from Rhode Island? I'm hoping my Pattey may be from the same line.
