I am not descended from the Scholl line, but I along with many others am doing reseach on Quantrill's men. My family descends from what we call "the dufus line". My grandmother was related to Clell Miller who basically in his first day as one of Bill Anderson's men, got wounded, captured and Bloody Bill killed!! Dufus!! Anyways in doing my research I focused on 1862 and of course, Boone Scholl comes up very often. He was a favorite among the men. He and Bill Gregg were fighting for their ideal of the Southern cause. They were literally protecting their homes and families. I read that when they buried Scholl, many of the men were openly weeping, including Gregg and George Todd who lost his "other best friend" that day, Fernando Scott.
As to your "relics", if you are so inclinded, you could share them by contacting the either the Quantrill Society or another of the museums that provide this kind of info on the web. We all would love to see what you have....which leads me to, my real reason for responding....can you share some info with me? I loved to see what you have.... Thanks!!
