"Yogi" and I dated for several years. It was not a passionate affair. It was just that everyone was paired off so we did too. We had a lot of fun together - he was a great guy and a real gentleman. He got his nickname from Yogi Berra - he loved baseball and played for the high school team. We drifted apart and he became interested in Karen Dominick who lived on West Monroe St. The only problem was that Karen was interested in Francie Schumlansky who she ended up marrying. She died giving birth to a daughter. Who did Yogi marry? I was told he was heartbroke and became a priest. I don't know anything about his family. I don't know if I ever met his mother. They lived in an apartment across the street from the YWCA. I may have a picture of him in one of my yearbooks. He was a year ahead of me.
