I have an ancestor named Lovisa Howe whom married James Cortright/Kortright, probably in Cayuga Co. NY around 1800. I just found some land records for the Cortright family in Cayuga County indicating an adjacent landowner was named Darius Howe. Checking the LDS Family Search site I found info on a Darius Howe b. 1746 in Marlborough, Middlesex MA, d, 1833 in NY m. 1771 Louisa Church in Marlborough. They had a daughter named Louisa. I'm wondering if this may be my Lovisa. James and Lovisa Cortright moved to Richmond, Ontario Co. in the 1820's, then to Burns Allegany Co. I lost their trail after that. Have you learned any more about your Howe line since you posted your query?
