From my grandfathers death certificate and funeral home records I have that her father Was Eugene Bertz born in Germany and her mother was Deborah Stowe born in NY.
I can find no record of them at all. I found one Eugene Bertz who I really think is her father. i am writing to Leavenworth National Cemetery today and sending his grave info in hopes they can find something for me on him.
I am guessing he may have died when she was young and her mother remarried but I can find nothing on a Deborah Stowe.
