At the end of his life Dearing Dorman was estranged from ALL his children, he suffered delusions that his children all were trying to gain his property and monies;
he was found by the surrogates courts to be deranged, abetted by his 2nd wife
He soon after his 2nd marriage took a great dislike to all his children, and for several years before making his will, and until his death he habitually called them robbers and thieves, and declared that not one of them should have any of his property, which they all had assisted him in achieving. It was determined in Surrogates court he was a monomaniac and his will should be denied;
