There was an Annable family that settled early in Barnstable Co., MA (Cape Cod). Many descendants of the early Barnstable families ended up in Cayuga County. Have you seen a book called Genealogical Notes of Barnstable Families, a Reprint of the Amos Otis Papers, revised by C.F. Swift, 1888? I know it contains a chapter on the Annable family.
