Google Books has Albany directories from 1844 & 1853.

I could not find anything in the 1853 directory for any of the surnames you listed. In the 1844 directory I was only able to find a Benjamin Deuell, don't know if this helps.

I have also found an 1858 directory on Archive.org, but did not search it since this was after Stephen's death (and the site is down at the moment).

Another site that has been extremely helpful for my NY ancestors is: http://www.fultonhistory.com/Fulton.html. On a whim, I searched this cite and found a 1837 newspaper listing unclaimed bank funds. There was a John L. Deuell who had $2.40 in unclaimed funds (image attached). If the money was never claimed and you could prove that are a descendant, imagine how much it would be worth today!
