Thanks Kathy, I truly appreciate the information and suggestions. I am working on fine tuning my newspaper search technique. I had tried in the past and I would either get zero results, or 5,000 (that didn't seem to be even geographically close.) BTW, I found a couple more articles about my grandfather and great grandfather. Nothing earth shattering, but I love picking up little details about my ancestors lives. I also found a ton of stuff about my other grandfather who was an actor in NYC. Until last week I knew very little about him.

Interesting thing, the church you mentioned on Delaware was 2 blocks from the family home in 1910 and about 5 blocks from the 1920-1930(+) residence. I used Google maps to plot all of the places they lived according to the census. In 1880 William was living around the corner from a very large Catholic church founded in 1848. Next week I'll be inquiring with them about what records they might have.
