Looking at family search I found a marriage in 1826 at Sedgeley of a Francis Mansell and a Mary Ann Kendrick with children baptised Dudley. The original marriage and baptism entries should give an occupation. These places are in the middle of an area rich in foundries in the 19th and most of the 20th century so this could be your family. I suggest you take a look for some of the other 33 iron workers in the same districts as it is highly likely that most were from the same area. I think you will be lucky to find any immigration records this early.
