Another resource is
http://www.rcancem.org/deceased but not everyone is listed. I enter a last name, copy and paste into excel, and sort by burial plot. REMEMBER - it lists the date of burial and watch out on findagrave.com because some folks are using the date of burial as the date of death in some instances. Then I visit the cemetery for a visual though some family never had a marker.
I am from New Jersey and use the NJ State Archives and use the library in Jersey City to do look ups. Most of the catholics did have a notice in the newspaper. Knowing the date of burial and working back does the trick!
