Klaus,
They had at least 2 sons: Arthur J. born 1898-1899 and
Theodore J. born in 1902. Theodore lived long enough to produce a family. He was a policeman in Newark.
Fred and Ida lived at 489 14th Avenue in Newark. Fred was born in 1849 in Karlsruhe, son of Joseph Mink and Magdalena Glasser. I have the marriage of Fred and Ida and the deaths of Joseph Mink and Magdalena. I will send them to you in you give me a regular email so that I can send the attachment.
I don't know where this Oberhotzen is? Is it one of the Oberhausen? Which one? Ida perhaps became a citizen by virtue of her husband. Emma has a notation on the Pass List indicating that she became a citizen. Probably in the County Courthouse in Newark or the Federal Courthouse in Newark. You would need to know her married name to find it.
The Mink family is buried in Fairmount Cemetery in Newark. MMaybe you can get information from them.
Where do you live?
Tom
