This photo appears a bit old (compared to some others), the scratches, lightness, and the style of dress.... I would guess about 1860s to as far as early 1900s. If it were a tin-type I would go for the earlier end, but since it looks like it is mounted on cardstock, and it is a paper photo, it is more like mid 1880s to 1900s.
