The 1920 census shows Lena came to the states in 1886. The records in Omaha are a little tricky. Most records are available from 1906 on marriage. Before 1906 back to about 1890, the courts in Lincoln may have them. Prior to 1900, most records will be on microfilm at the Omaha State Historical Society in Lincoln. They don't do well for long distance searches. They can, but it will cost a bit. They only do searches in 2 hr blocks and it has to be rather close to start. If you like, try first at the Omaha courts on Farnam, then if nothing shows, try the Health Dept in Lincoln on Centenial Blvd. Omaha lookup is free, but Lincoln will charge (but its still cheaper than Historical Society).
