that has his middle name shown as Curlee on a deed from Wright County, MO back in the 1860s. He never signed his name with a middle name.

That tree has his parents TENTATIVELY shown as Bartlett Edmonds and Lizzie Stegall and the reasons they are our best hope so far.

Until we get more DNA testing on the Edmonds descendants and upload the RAW data for free to GEDmatch to see if we match all the other Edmonds/Stegall lines out there we may never know . . . and the longer we wait . . . .

I used AncestryDNA test and it would be interesting for a few people to do the test who do NOT HAVE A TREE POSTED ON ANCESTRY to see if they connect. Ancestry recently revised their algorithym and a huge percentage of everyone's results fell off because the Ancestry software stopped relying on name matches in family trees.

Family Tree Maker also has a good test that can be uploaded to GEDmatch.

We need the lines down from Lydia Edmonds (Bradford/Bell); Jonathan Eli Edmonds; Vicy (Gregory); Susanna (Inman); Alexander --through Sarah, Thomas and Kinzy. Strength in numbers and all that.
