Louden / Grimes / -- Civil War era

Surnames: Louden, Grimes, Glascock, Wright
Is anyone familiar with Eliza Louden and William Louden of Ralls County? They appear on the 1870 Census index for Saline Township. Does anyone have a general idea who these people were? I'm researching a possibly related family.

Also, in researching the Confederate mail carrier, Absalom Grimes, who married Lucy Glascock of Ralls County in 1865, I found a letter from his mother, Charlotte P. Wright Grimes mentioning a sister (who was in Illinois during the Civil War) and brothers, at least one of whom served in the Union army. Unfortunately, she doesn't give their names or which army units they may have been in. Absalom Grimes in his memoirs does not mention the existance of any brothers--the choice of joining opposing sides apparently caused a breach in the family. These other Grimes would have been born in St. Louis, Ralls Co., or Hannibal, Missouri between about 1835 and 1845. At least one of the boys should have been living in Ralls County immediately before the war. Their father was William Leander Grimes (died 1857). Anyone know the first names or any other info about these Grimes children?

Thanks,
Deb Rule
